The Provençal markets
My recommendations
Who doesn’t love them – a sight to see and a spectacle at the same time.
Crowds and an abundance of regional products, shining and glowing in every color.
I still love them, and I’m no longer a tourist.
(Best parking is at Intermarché)
Here is a small overview for your selection, big and small, near and far:
Monday: Bédoin (20 km), Cavaillon (50 km)
Tuesday: Vaison-la-Romaine (20 km)
Wednesday: Sault (50 km), Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (50 km)
Thursday: Nyons (35 km)
Friday: Carpentras (13 km), Dieulefit (58 km)
Saturday: Saint-Cécile-les-Vignes (16 km), Apt (63 km), Uzès (70 km), Arles (69 km), Apt (44 km), Pernes les Fontaines (18 km)
Sunday: L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (30 km)
And don’t forget the lively hustle and bustle at the flea market, the brocante in Carpentras. The city’s large parking lot transforms into a place for antiques and beautiful things, knick-knacks and treasures from times long past.
Little Serge provides a well-deserved break with wine and truffle menus.
